Who am I and Why am I doing this?
My name is Steven A. Floyd. Currently, I am in my 13th year as Vice President of the Calallen Wildcat
Touchdown Booster Club, which supports the Calallen High School football team in Corpus Christi,
Texas. I love high school football and am a certified stat junkie.
In early 2008, I began a simple task - to find out where our head coach, Phil Danaher, ranked on the
national coaching wins list. After several hours of searching, I came to a conclusion - most, if not all,
of the national winningest coaches lists were either out of date or incomplete.
Disappointed in not finding what I was looking for, I set out to compile a complete and accurate list of
all high school football coaches who have won 300 or more games in their careers while coaching
11-man football.
This site contains my research - 4+ years in the making and ongoing. This site is as complete and
accurate as I can hope it to be - for now. I searched the following websites for each and every one of
the 50 states:
When possible, I have tried to only list 11-man football coaches, but some of the earlier coaching
records may well be for other types of football.
I update my database each week of the football season and will update this site as often as
possible.
If you see an error, know of a coach that has been omitted or have any other information, please
